Hi im new to the invert world and I want to know the status of keeping tarantula keeping in your country.

Herein the philippines tarantulas are super easy to care for ( No heat mats) . The only problem is other people, Some may think that your awesome while others are disgusted by seeing a spiders in their house. My mother laughed when she saw that those "big hairy spiders" start life with a size lesser than the size of your fingernail. What's the status of keeping ts in your country?

Im from Michigan, USA and its pretty much exactly the same as what you described. I just keep my house around 75°F (27°C I think) and its worked out well so far.

I'm in England, in the winter I just keep the room heated to around 25°C, people here are either fascinated or think you're mental (I am but that's not the point :troll:) when you tell them you have a bunch of eight legged murder tanks.

Hello! You mentioned heat mats, anyone that knows how to care for tarantulas should never use heat mat regardless of how cold your room is. Never ever use heat mats.

Heat mats are perfectly safe to use with T's and other inverts if used correctly. Used them for 20 years.
