Tarantula in death curl but still shows signs of movement (twitching)

You SHOULD NOT use terrariums with mesh lids and long distance between sub and the rim of the terrarium. If one only has terearium with mesh lids, one should not use that terrarium. Getting an apropriate enclosure BEFORE getting an tarantula is crucial! Why cant people make some small ammount of research its beyond me

Exactly as I read this I heard rustling in my room I looked to my left and guess what I saw... my p Cancerides climbing on the mesh

Get it out of there asap. Put it in anything you can close and burn holes in for the time being and replace that mesh.

@OP sorry for your loss. Please make the changes for your other spiders as well.

My adult female climbs on her mesh lid all the time... But she only has 3-4" of space between sub and lid (and she is easily 7-8").

Very sorry for your loss OP. I'm sure it's rough losing the spider after 5 years :'(
I don't think my enclosures are high enough for a fall to occur, but I will be sure as hell to check when I get home from work...
