Sure, not an issue. I keep my Ts in my 1-room apartment. I avoid using anything aerosolized in there (deodorants, air fresheners), although I recall some people using that stuff around their Ts without issues. But it’s probably not a bad idea to err on the side of caution with stuff like that. Other than that I can’t think of any reason not to keep them in your bedroom. :)

29 T's in my room - no chance of keeping them anywhere else in my arachnophobic parent's house (sadly). Zero issues. Nice to have them where I am most of the time.

Tarantula Kat has no issues, either.

No I don't necessarily agree with everything she does, or a lot of things actually, but this video in my recommended did spark my interest as it was cool to see someone else with a large collection who didn't have say, another building for them.

Hey guys just wondering if i can put my tarantula in my bedroom.
Absolutely Not.... What gives you the right to have a Tarantula in your bedroom? Who do you think you are? The King of Siam?

That's exactly what my Mom would say to me when I was a kid.... either that or, "Get that Spider out of the living room and take it outside..."

Sometimes she'd say, "Don't bring those bugs in the house"....

Once I had a Garter snake escape its enclosure down in or basement. Its name was Sam. A month or so later after the escape.. my sister found Sam, downstairs in her playroom on one of her tables. She screamed...I picked up Sam.

Mom made me release Sam back into the garden....

Then there was the Horney Toad Lizard my friend and I found in his back yard.....

This is why i want to keep Ts in my bed room.I mean only Ts but not scorpion or centipede that can get into my ears

hehe yea maybe
but if your Ts are more important, you're in too deep :)
Ofc they are more important. How can i let anyone know about a 15 years old owning a p.regalis. Oh i havent told my grandparents about the venom potency of pokies.Im sure they'll never visit my house again if i do

This is also why since my sister always use anti bug spray

I was just kidding with you. You do have a Tarantula Enclosure, right? and you have what you need to take care of the T and keep it alive, like food, water, substrate, and so on, right?
Then move it to your bedroom if you so desire. Pick an appropriate location in your bedroom and use it.
Be sure not to assume and POLITELY notify your sister of your pets' location and remind your sister that you do not want any spraying or placing of any pesticides in your room.
Be nice about it, that way she will know your feelings and she should respect your request.

Are your parents aware of how harmful they can be, and they're ok with having them in the house?

It's an example that it can be done. Nothing more, nothing less.
Yep I know. However, I would never cite that lot of peeps. Next thing you know a person is looking to them for advice, and others. Just perpetuates the cycle of confusion we see here. There are tons of people that do this here on AB. Citing some stupidtuber is just not useful in the big picture.

I don't understand why one would cite some stupidtuber- is thetr word any better than some one here? No. In fact, their word is not as useful if said person has less experience than members here.

I don't get it citing someone like Kat etc, just further's the belief to the new peeps that such a person knows more than others here at AB. Some of us have been keeping Ts before Kat was a thought in her parents' minds..
