Is there such a thing as a video designed for getting people interested in having Ts as pets? I am aware of the Tarantula Collective and Tom Moran and similar YouTube channels but has the BBC, National Geographic or some other big name ever featured tarantulas and or the T hobby?

I think they made a few documentaries about tarantulas, but I don't think very many are about keeping them.

On YouTube there is a channel called Tarantpedia which shows Ts in the wild. The other one I think is called Bugs n Stuff. Its not really about husbandry but interesting to see Ts in the natural habitat.
As far as husbandry goes then you cant beat Tom Moran.

For field trips with tarantulas in the wild plus some tarantula science plus husbandry stuff (of the European flavour) - birdspidersCH on YouTube

For awesome longer documentaries on several genera in the wild and the history of tarantula science - lovetarantulas on YouTube

I really hope there isn't a video designed to get people interested in having tarantulas as pets! The last thing tarantulas need is a commercial for people to buy them up and keep them in captivity. When an animal becomes a popular pet, it never really goes well for that animal.

There are a couple of proper documentaries that are oldies but still good today: "Tarantula: Australia's King of Spiders" and "Spidermania". Last I checked, those two documentaries are on YouTube in full.

Thank you, I will look for those. Yeah, I was/am hoping for more of a documentary feel.

I LOVE those videos. I rewatched the H.Mac/S.Calceatum a couple of times while crafting. I find it relaxing and the T's are so adorable! Seeing them peek out of the trees from their hiding places warms my heart. (They do handle them to validate the genus)

All of the channels mentioned are excellent. I've said it here several times, but @birdspidersCH channel has some excellent footage from a real expert, and we as a community need to give these factual channels more views, rather than click-bait idiocy.
