Hey guys I know it's been a long time since I've been here but my male tarantula few months back passed away along with my vinegaroon I buried them both in the grass near me and got to say it feels pretty lonely without one.

Did he at least get a chance to pass genes? We need all the C. Cyaneopubescens genes we can get in this hobby. Was it at the end of its lifespan?

Celebrate by looking forward to another one....or more :)

My condolences also. I have a male Parahybana and I'm not looking forward to that day. It wrecked me pretty good when I lost a sub adult T. stirmi. I feel your pain....

I won't say the usual 'I'm sorry for your loss'. Instead I will share in your mourning. I know your pain and only over time will you begin to feel a little better.

This is the best place to come to share your grief with people who understand.

Grief doesn't discriminate what loss you suffer, it still feels the same.

Sounds like you need some more spiders. Sorry for your loss
Thank you I appreciate it 😊 I miss him so much 💕

I know this isn't the site for this as it is a different animal but I'll share anyways. I lost my beloved dog, family member, December 2017. I still haven't got another dog yet as I don't want to go through that level of pain again. Well.....now I've been looking again so I guess I'm ready but took this long for me.

My male T. vagans is closing in on maturing. I said I need to sell him to someone who will breed him. Then I think about it and it's very difficult for me to part with him. In the end it is for the greater good if I can find someone that wants him, but still.......

Yeah......🥲

I have a little shelf with her urn, photos, DVD with a ton of photos for a slide show, her favorite toy and a card from the vet where the staff members each wrote something to me.

However I think the best choice for my tarantulas will be to bury them when/if they pass in my care. Well some of my females will outlive me so I guess that's good.

It's very sweet of how you cared for your dog and how you love her it's really kind. I'm sorry to hear for your loss.

Thanks but it's all good. My focus is on your grief. I didn't mean or try to make this about me. I was just sharing some of my grief with you as I know what you're feeling.

I tend to write too much so I am sorry. I guess in my way I'm trying to say you'll get past this in time and you will have new tarantulas to care for. Your tarantula and vinegaroon will live on in your memories and you will also share those memories with others 🙂
