Tarantula Dance (no while eating)

Hey everyone! I got my first T (g pulchra sling) a few weeks ago and it has recently made a burrow.

It's sealed it off and has been doing this weird dance where it rubs its butt on the substrate back and forth. It almost looks like a weird dance. No web is there that I can see.

It's been doing this for 3 days now.

Has anyone seen this before? I'm so curious to know what's going on. I doubt it is just enjoying some tunes haha

It's almost definitely webbing, even if you can't see it.

Had my t albo juvie do this a few times, where it would rub the bottom of its abdomen on its dirt mound or a piece of cork. Spinnerets tucked in, not moving at all, and the abdomen moving back and forth, as if itching something.

Definitely webbing.

My G. IHeringi does this. I’m almost certain it’s laying down trip lines to sense it’s prey. Pulled out a water dish the other night and it came flying towards it. Takes you aback when a majority of the time it saunters around and then a full charge out of nowhere. I can’t see webbing, but when I do cleanup everything is stuck together.

Just wait until you see some of their grooming. My B. smithi grooms itself like it's at a rave sometimes.
