I’m a new tarantula owner. I’ve done a lot or research and got my first tarantula, an Aphonopelma Chalcodes. I love seeing them whenever their out of their tunnel, but lately I’ve been hearing a strange clicking noise coming from their encloser. I don’t know if it’s a pre-molt thing or if it just clicks. I’ve read everywhere but I can’t find any answers.

Doesn’t look like mature male. I actually agree with @birdonfire I’ve seen them doing drumming if there is a loose feeder. Could be the case.

Like viper69 said, it is probably its fangs. It maybe nibbling at something. I have heard a clickjng sound before and it was my L.klughi nibbling the ventilation holes in the side of the tank. Also my T.albo has been nibbling the polystyrene backing recently. (Top left of photo) Tarantulas do strange things sometimes.
