sorry for the long story and grammar.. :D

this is my experience in the hobby I just want to share to all ..
I got home late and start feeding my T's. (based on what I've read, T’s are moreactive at night so I feed them at night ..) I get some lats and start feeding my sub adult T's (it’s an enclosure that's divided in four and a sliding lid for the 4 division) and on top of it are delicups with slings..I open them slightly so I can put some lateralis inside) then I put 2-3 lats that’s appropriate for the T’s to eat..

after finishing that I started feeding the slings .. and in my last two slings. p.met and p.formosa .. I looked my p.met on small enclosure (made from scrap acrylic because it is special for me) Then I open the enclosure.. Suddenly my P.Met nervously runs inside its encolure.. (maybe due to the vibration I did when I open the lock so my P.Met got scared and nervously runs for cover but it got out the enclosure .. I check behind the enclosure and I saw my P.met running on the direction toward opened portion of the Lid of my sub adult smithi ... suddenly bad words come out of my mouth when I see my p.met running under my smithi (the this running in my mind "@ # $% ^ & *! my p.met might got eaten) and sadly I saw my smithi’s front leg and pedipals dragging my p.met to add it on his meal.. so I grab a brush and try to make a move to make the smithi stop biting the roach he is eating and the p.met in its fangs.while the smithi is is confused why im poking him by a brush( not knowing that I just want to save the sling he bite that he mistakenly identified as a sling Rather than a roach).my smithi kick lots of urticating hairs and a cloud of urticating hairs covers the enclosure and leave the roach together with bitten P.met and turn to corner of his enclosure
the poor was still alive luckily p.met and getting out of the path of the smithi .. a front leg and a pedipalps was lost on that accident and I saw the P.met’ struggle to escape.. after that, i immediately transfer the P.Met to a vial with wet tissue as an ICU for the incident that happen to the sling that ..

next morning i check the sling..i tried to give my P.met a Lats to eat but still no interest..(maybe my P.met is still in shock). As of now my P.met is ok and recovered its lost leg and pedipalps .. ill update if something odd (i lord forbid) happens. I hope the sling will survive this ordeal.

I know its my fault.. (It’s my negligence) while leaving enclosures open while feeding slings .. I can say that from this incident I Learned a lesson and I hope that this accident will be a lesson to others also so we can avoid these kinds of accident on our hobby.
Oh my, I probably wouldve passed out if that happened to me! my new sling just arrived today and I opened his lid and he came charging out and almost ran under a big pile of clothes on th floor! Luckily I caught him,but I almost puked with the fright!:giggle: U handled th situation well! And I hope ur sling will just shrug it off and get on with life:geek: PS, to me ur grammar is PERFECT!!

I woke up one day to find a huge gaping hole in the screen of my 3" P. Irimina's cage. She was not in the cage! It was a holiday and I had family coming over in about 4 hours! I have three cats and I was worried she might have slipped under my door crack and gotten into serious trouble. Myself and my family looked all around the house for her but couldn't find her. After 3 hours of looking I finally found her underneath one of my dressers. It was very tricky to get her out but I got her back into her cage safely.

mine would have to be the second day when I got my first tarantula. I was taking out the cricket, cuz she didnt eat it, and I accedently dropped the whole container. I was freaking out o_O, but luckily she was OK cuz i saw her climbing out from the dirt :p
it was a Brachypelma albopilosa sling and still is ><

My H. lividum (cobalt blue) got out of its capture jar during a cleaning day. I caught it in a plastic red cup and then finished changing the bedding. My step dad reminded me that I had work in an hour so I rushed to get everything clean... which included righting the upside cup the cobalt blue was in. The cobalt blue curled up in the bottom of the cup and didn't move thankfully, because I forgot she was in there. After twenty minutes of vigorously vacuuming the floor and throwing my uniform on I grabbed the cup and went to.. quench my thirst. Thank god I looked down and realized the cobalt blue was still in the cup.. not in the capture jar. And doubly thank god that this was one of the few times she was curled up instead of trying to eat me. Oh boy what an adventure that would have been if she bit me in the mouth....... o.o; From now on I only do maintenance AFTER I take my ADHD meds not before XD
