What if a tarantula ate a cricket it knew it had insectcide on it and the tarantula died...would that be considered "Tarantula Suicide"?

How about this then...what if you were holding your tarantula near an open window and a breeze came by and scared your tarantula. It jumped out the window onto its death...would that be considered tarantula suicide?

It wouldn't know that the cricket had insecticide on it.

Who's dumb enough to hold a tarantula near an open window? {D

Hey Eraisuithon, I am just trying to say what if. Hey the question was asked if a tarantula was going to be caught it would bite itself to death instead of being taken as a pet. What if it saw you spray Raid on a cricket or put Seven Dust on it and threw it in the enclosure. Would it attacked with the smell of Raid or Seven Dust on the cricket?

Have you not read on here what has happen to people who have handled their tarantulas while drunk?

I'm not sure why you are even posting on this thread any more. Your posts don't even make sense, and they are completely off-topic.

"What if a tarantula ate a bug knowing it had pesticide on it?"

What kind of stupid question is that? Seriously!

I think this thread is finished.

This is a really old thread...

As for a tarantula removing its own leg, that is called autotomy and it has nothing to do with suicide. ;)

Eh.. rather the opposite, actually.

Yeah, they'll even eat the lost limb sometimes. You can imagine my puzzlement when I started this hobby and had a seven-legged tarantula when yesterday it was whole. X-D
