Hi, my Theraphosa stirmi has white piglets on its belly. is this okay? It doesn't look sad or angry and there are no photos of t.stirmi without this pigment on the internet. Is the tarantula okay? Sorry for the bad English, I'm from the Czech Republic. IMG_20250325_193535.jpg IMG_20250325_193553.jpg

The picture isn't very clear, although it doesn't seem to be effecting it. Is it still eating and drinking?

Photos don't show Under Side of T. stirmi.

However it may have picked up some excrement while wandering.

Its hard to tell.

the photo isnt good quality enough to make a claim.

its not to dismiss you, but if you can get a really close photo it will help. Don’t over zoom, just get real close.

white pigments on abdomen.

could be balding or mold.

The setae on this species is huge, when it’s rubbed off and builds up in abdomen it can look white. Could be that or something else, need clearer pic to tell. Nothing alarming from those photos. If wild caught, stirmi are often covered in mites, could be them or their poop. Or mycosis, if kept too soggy. Probably no cause for concern but need a close up photo

Yes I agree with @Tarantuland ib that it looks like dislodged tufts of setae on the abdomen. But the photos are possibly not the clearest, but it’s the simplest and most logical answer that I’d routinely expect.
