I also thought about that. Cheating... But I dunno. He has a small butt in the pic but he said it just ate. Thing is, it just arrived from his supplier I think abroad and the next day he shipped it out to me, maybe it wasn't too good for the T?hmm....IDK...
maybe the road was too bumpy?....
and it died cause of too much shaking....
or maybe the dealer was cheating?....
I would agree. He should have kept it long enough to hydrate and feed. A turn round shipment like that could be very hard on such a small T. Very irresponsible of the seller.I also thought about that. Cheating... But I dunno. He has a small butt in the pic but he said it just ate. Recently ordered a few slings and when they arrived the Chilean Beautiful was doing exactly that. Are there any stories like this? Where the T doesn't move but is still alive? What could be the reason behind this? It was shipped yesterday and arrived today, and it's like this...
He said he made sure that it ate before shipping it out, but still, even if the T is stressed, some would still eat. My other Ts arrived and ate on the same day. I'll post pics of the packaging. The outer was nice, but the container the T was in was kinda below average.I would agree. He should have kept it long enough to hydrate and feed. Well the difference is that it never really moved when it arrived. It's stiff and kinda lifeless.Recently ordered a few slings and when they arrived the Chilean Beautiful was doing exactly that.
I could roll it onto it's back and it wouldn't right itself walking with its legs slightly curled I thought maybe it had just molted as it was the larger of the 3 G.Gala's I purchased, anyway I instantly put it in ICU and didn't expect it to live through the night... but amazingly a few days after it started moving almost naturally, the front two legs would look awkward when it walked but after putting it in my other spiders bowl filled with the green jelly cubes (not sure on the name of them) it curled up and started drinking I presume, spending a total of 15 mins sat in that same spot, it must have been severely dehydrated.
All is well now its moving perfectly normal, although still off feed.
So best of luck to you, mine pulled through.
It really makes me sad. To think I was so excited then when I opened it, it's dead. It cost me some cash I was saving too.Sorry to break it to ya but that sling looks pretty dead to me. It looks like it would have "death curled" but didn't because it was in the straw. When rigor mortis sets in it will lock the limbs in the place of least resistance. If unobstructed this is a death curl, if obstructed the legs will curl around untill they meet the obstruction and stop there. That's why your sling isn't in the typical curl.
For slings crisp and stiff = dead. Limp and pliable = maybe still alive.
Sorry your lil gal didn't make it, that really is a fun species.
Actually there are a lot of sellers. Just that he is the 1st 1 to have P. Irminias available again. He doesn't have any live delivery guarantee. It sounds to me like somebody owes you a new sling or a $$ refund. Hopefully you can get a new sling. I imagine you don't have a lot of options for buying CB NW species over there though so good luck to you.
This right here would have had me looking for another seller. Even if it's a few extra bucks, it's worth it to make sure you get what you wanted. Even if it means you have to wait for somebody to get some for sale. For next time: if you can't wait, ask the seller if they'll give you a LAG. Often they'll give it to you, to make the sale. Also means they'll be packaging it more carefully.Actually there are a lot of sellers. Just that he is the 1st 1 to have P. Irminias available again. He doesn't have any live delivery guarantee.
I don't think anyone in the Philippines offer live guarantee. This right here would have had me looking for another seller.
