This is a picture I took of a pair of T. apophysis during an unsuccessful breeding attempt. I assumed that my female was too young because of her size in relation to the male. I also assumed that it couldn't hurt to try. I was almost very wrong on my second assumption. I tried several times to put them together and the response was always pretty violent. The culmination of their affair was her chasing him out of her enclosure and their going in different directions once on the floor. Luckily a larger ( hopefully more willing ) female was located for him. As for her, I have an immature male that should be ready in a couple more molts. I hope she treats him a little nicer.
