Surprise Bromeliad Bloom

While misting tanks this morning I noticed one of my Neoregelia is blooming. Total noob here... I had no idea they flowered. Not the most extravagant flower, but a pretty hue of purple, especially against the green/red of the foliage. This is the hybrid 'Olens x Compacta'. 20200531_100112.jpg 20200531_142626.jpg

Indeed. Broms are on my short list of favorite plants based on foliage alone. Blooms like this make me even more of a fan.
Indeed, they don't even NEED to flower to be amazing. Do you keep frogs with them, or just on their own?

I keep many plants. Mostly succulents. But not these.
Very pretty. Thanks for the photo. I might be adding to my collection.

It's just a planted terrarium at the moment. My initial plans were Mourning Geckos, but wanted to let the tank grow in before I stocked it. That was a year ago and now I'm not sure what, if anything, I want to put in there.
