Surprise Bromeliad Bloom

While misting tanks this morning I noticed one of my Neoregelia is blooming. Total noob here... I had no idea they flowered. Not the most extravagant flower, but a pretty hue of purple, especially against the green/red of the foliage. This is the hybrid 'Olens x Compacta'.

I'm assuming yes, but honestly have no idea. I have two other Neos, 'Zoe' and 'Fireball F2 (red)' which have both sent out pups so hopefully this guy is next.

Indeed. Broms are on my short list of favorite plants based on foliage alone. Blooms like this make me even more of a fan.

Indeed, they don't even NEED to flower to be amazing. Do you keep frogs with them, or just on their own?

I keep many plants. Mostly succulents. But not these.

It's just a planted terrarium at the moment. My initial plans were Mourning Geckos, but wanted to let the tank grow in before I stocked it. That was a year ago and now I'm not sure what, if anything, I want to put in there.
