So, I went to do the feeding and watering rounds... and I found one of my favorite and first T's looking like she might be molting... but she wasn't. She stunk.

So I carefully moved one of her legs aside... and it looked like her abdomen is ripped partway off... She was also leaking what I assume was hemolymph. I have no idea what happened, she was fine a couple days ago...

I took some pics, maybe someone can shed some light on what happened... Really just devastated, she was my first avic and my sweetest little girl.

Sorry that happened, always hurts to lose a T. =/

Was there a cricket in there that could have injured her?

How big is the T? Where did you purchase it and do you know if it is W(ild)C(aught) or C(aptive)B(red)?

sorry to hear. perhaps it fell and ruptured its abdomen?
That's what I think.

I have no idea if she was WC or CB, I got her at a LPS in March.

You really think she was a A. metallica? What makes you think so? Just curious, 'cause I don't see it :8o
