I'm just worried if you get bit by the S. Cal your mom is gonna straight up trash your entire collection. I know she's already not happy with your hair allergy.

Be careful!

One good thing about this species though is that the mature males are very pretty. Their legs really do look like feathers! And the patterns they have are quite beautiful.

Yeah that is neat , what do I gotta buy 20 of them for one female ? Pet shops suck despite selling me a rather healthy spider. I don’t think I’ll be able to wrangle this guy up to ship it I may have to sell the mm local.
I need a job and I need it fast then a plan to sneak Ts in. I need more terrestrials but I’m afraid to ask my mom when I get a job if I can get more spiders. Moving out isn’t an option.

My advice is to get really skilled at ventral sexing and take a close look at each spider before buying it. Impossible for very tiny slings though. It annoys the hell out of people sometimes but whenever I go to a shop or an expo I insist on getting a ventral view of each spider before I decide to buy it. I have a few males that I bought online or as slings, but the vast majority of my tarantulas are female as a result. Also if there's a dream species that you really want, then buy a confirmed female from a reputable source. Depending on the species it might be worth the price tag.

I already thought it looked male but I hesitated to refuse it because I didn’t trust my ventral sexing skills of Ts this size 2-3”. If it was larger I’d said no the salesman just tricked me I meant to say no to buying and but said yeah. Now I gotta wait until I find a job to buy more Ts I’m screwed.
