Yeah, you dont want random mealworms burrowing. Honestly crickets are the easiest option for a reason, or like he said red runners.

And yeah, mealworm beetles are a no-go too

Centruroides vittatus - Striped bark, Commonly found in U.S. and Mexico.
2 to 2 1/2 inch or 5 to 6.33 cm.
Their sting with neurotoxic venom can be quite painful.
only NW Scorpion Genus they keep anti-venom for

Honestly meal worms are just a pain in the butt. I'd get some small red runner roaches not dubia cause they will play the statue game. Runners are more likly to stay active and become a targeteable meal.
Completely concur, Runners and Crickets will wander to the Scorpions, the others will not and thus no feeding, and meal worms can be a threat to molting Scorps, Ts etc...

Hi! She won't eat the babies while they are on her back. However, once the babies leave her back they are able to sting so be careful (it is not a learned behavior but an instinct, the only reason they can not sting while on her back is because they don't have a hardened exoskeleton yet and have not had their first molt). As long as you are consistently feeding the scorpions (I feed mine small crickets twice a week) then they will not feed on each other. They will only eat the babies if they are hungry or desperate enough. I would not suggest meal worm beetles but I would suggest meal worms! My scorpions love them but do prefer crickets. If they are not eating, give it a week without feeding. Then try feeding in the pitch black and use a black light to see. Also if they are gravid or potentially are having babies, pregnant, or just did have babies, they may not eat for several weeks! Not necessarily anything to worry about yet!

Give them additional daytime heat in the low 80s. The vast majority of scorpion species need some degree of additional additional heating.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe a red light would work best if you want to view them while eating, especially if they are skittish. I believe scorpions can detect UV light very well. Red light seems to get less reaction.
