Okay, so i just bought this waterdish and it had one of those stickers sort of like a price tag thingy. Now there's sticker scum in the bottom of the dish! Is there a spider safe way to get it off? I've tried soaking it for over twenty four hours and it's still stuck. (I know this sounds like some bad joke but it's the truth.) Can i try soap or somthing?

I think they mean the sticker was inside the dish. Try really hot soapy water. That usually works. Just rinse really well. I wouldn't try goo-gone or anything, though.

Actually it's on the bottom and the inside of the dish. It's just been driving me insane. So yeah i'm sort of OCD. I'll try the soapy water, just wanted to make sure that's okay.

Lighter fluid/camp stove fuel/pretty much anything flammable like that. Squirt some on a rag and scrub the glue off. Rinse very well afterwards.... extremely well, considering it's a waterdish.

Also works very well for removing stickers from guitars, vehicles, etc.

I use something called Goo gone. You can also use WD40, glue comes right off with that stuff.

Rubbing Alcohol (or vodka, for that matter) is probably your safest bet.

lol.

Wow. 24 hours? Damn dude.. just forget about it, fill it up with water, and put it in the tank. Not like your T is going to get his lips stuck at the bottom. If anything, try a product called Goo-Gone, it's made for stuff like that.

For future reference vinegar preforms miracles with that kind of stuff.

Definitely shouldn't worry about that. Especially since T's don't have lips. :)
TBH

Well, not in the sense of what we call lips (ie. on humans), but the structure called labium which is positioned at the anterior side of the sternum (English name?) is often referred to - like a common name - as the tarantula's "lip" (at least in my language, that is).

I say Vodka, as previously suggested. (I realize you've since solved the issue but throwing my 2 cents in for future thread reference.)
And with the "OCD" references...it doesn't make sense. Stop applying pseudo high school psychological terms to situations that don't fit the definition.

Random thought about the OCD thing.

people how had Obsessive Compolsive Disorder would never say, "I'm OCD."

That would be like saying i'm obsessive compolsive disoder. If they wanted to abreviate it they'd have to say, "I'm OC."

Thanks for all the suggestions i'll keep them in mind if i ever buy a waterdish agian.

I am surprised that nobody ever mentions this when the subject of sticker residue comes up (happens a lot on the motorcycle forums), but the best way to remove it is with tape. Once I started using this method a few years ago, I have never had to use any else to remove even the most stubborn sticker residue. I simply use packing tape and I press it down onto the residue and pick it back up, just like blotting out a stain. It takes a while, but you will eventually see it starting to come up in little sections. It works everytime for me!

try soaking it in vinegar or rubbing alcohol. both will rinse right out and will be completely harmless once dry.
