How do you separate the slings from their mother?Neoholothele incei (gold)
Mom and 90+ healthy 1st instarafter 30 days incubation
I disassembled her enclosure slowly till I could coax her into a vial. Then I used a small soft paintbrush and a plastic spoon to retrieve the 2i slings from the webbing one or two at a time. I would much rather take the sac than doing it this way.How do you separate the slings from their mother?
Did she surprise you with a hidden sac?I disassembled her enclosure slowly till I could coax her into a vial. Then I used a small soft paintbrush and a plastic spoon to retrieve the 2i slings from the webbing one or two at a time. I would much rather take the sac than doing it this way.
It was a surprise in that it had hatched. I knew she had made one and usually at 25 days its EWLS or close to 1st instar. I haven't seen 1st instar already emerged from the sac in this species till now.Did she surprise you with a hidden sac?
Yes gold female and gold male, all slings are golds. For the N. incei, what was the male you paired her with? Also gold?
Yes, I'm aware of the inheritance for the species regarding colour, was just curious what the male was as I didn't see it specified.Yes gold female and gold male, all slings are golds.
