Thank you! It wont let me take the molt out of it's tube so I cant say for sure but I think it's a boy.

I have finally gotten my hands on a H. maculata female. She gave me almost no attitude just one threat pose. I’m a little surprised at how small her fangs are I thought these guys had some of the largest fangs out there. I will still keep clear of them though haha. I think I’ll name her Sub Zero…. here she is!

I just got a subadult female. She's real pretty but doesn't have the long satea on the legs yet. Does yours climb up high off the substrate? Mine stays on the substrate and has webbed herself a tent to stay under. Awsome pics. Thanks for posting them.

She hasn’t spent any time on the ground well except when she was doing laps around my spider room. It’s a good thing I have mesh on my heat vent other wise I would have lost her lol.

I have two more the male pictured earlier has a burrow and this little one has a really cool web retreat.
