I'm pretty sure I know she is a Steatoda grossa (False Widow) but it's always nice to know for sure, share some pictures, see who else has one and maybe get some tips xD here she is:

I found her on my bathroom floor and caught her to put outside but once I had caught her I decided she was pretty and I wanted to keep her 😂 her first home was this jar:

I thought this was too small for her so I decided to get a small plastic enclosure online:

Unfortunately she was able to climb to the top and wanted to make her webs there so I got a larger glass enclosure. It is inspired by another enclosure I saw online, but I added the surgical tape, hiding spot and swapped sand for stones (this was a mistake because woodlouse got stuck in between them and that's what I was feeding her at the time)

However she still managed to climb to the top and used the top mesh as her main anchor points, so I got her a front opening one and swapped the sand for stone. Giving her some larger rocks to use as anchors for trap wires. This seems to work perfectly and she is very happy here:

Just be aware wildcaught prey can carry pesticides and pathogens. Try and get pinhead crickets if you can.

Ye I read that online so I stopped. She's eating mealworms at the moment. She seems to like them but I was worried they were too aggressive. Then I looked online again and saw they can hurt spiders. Crickets was my next plan. How silent are the silent ones? 😂

The small ones dont chirp. You just gotta make sure to pinch off 1 leg

Only adult males chirp. Feed them off first.
