Cirith,
I built this cage for less than $100USD.
1. Is pointing to the corner which I sealrd with silicone sealant.
2. Is pointing to the plexi-glass I used for both sides of the lid.
3. Is pointing to the screen I put under the spot light.
4. Is a piano hinge that connects the lids.
5. Is a basking platform I built using plywood.
6. Is a L bracket (don't remember if that's the correct name) which holds the 2x4's together.
The cage itself is white malamine 48"Lx24"Hx24"w(I lined it with contact paper to make it more or less water proof).
The lid is made of 2x4 pinewood, plexi-glass, and screen.
The green bowl is the water bowl and the beige one is where I put mealworms, pinkies, and turkey.
Yellow ackies are cheaper than reds. I've only kept yellows. They usually go for about $125 a piece.
