Beatrix (Pamphobeteus sp. Mascara) molted about 2 weeks ago and finally ventured out of her burrow tonight, looking for a meal. She's starting to get hints of adult coloration. IMG_20220309_212325372.jpg

B. horrida juvenile female, Ignis. She's very calm and docile. Growing slowly but steadily, and getting some gorgeous coloration. She's about 1.5in DLS right now but I'm in awe of how pretty she is. IMG_20220331_201724281_HDR~2.jpg

Meet Matilda, a confirmed female P. antinous "big black" that arrived last week. To say that she is feisty is an understatement. Bolted from her container IMG_20220329_140200172~2.jpg kicking up a storm of hairs. Once put into her enclosure, she started lunging at anything that moved. Immediately grabbed a cricket before it hit the ground!

Esmeralda, a T. pruriens sling (about 1in DLS). Tiny, but a ferocious eater and already showing some beautiful coloration. I was able to molt sex her using a microscope. IMG_20220423_203825948_HDR~2.jpg

Lazuli recently molted into a mature male and I was finally able to get a decent photo of him. He's very handsome, and VERY feisty! IMG_20220426_155724974_HDR~2.jpg

This little fluff ball (A. geniculata) molted a few days ago. She is TINY. About the size of the fingernail on my pinky finger. I snagged the molt and looked at it under the scope and saw TEENY TINY spermathecae. She doesn't have a name yet but she's precious. IMG_20220508_190324383_HDR~2.jpg

Jasmine (AF P. ornata ) got a new enclosure today to replace the pathetic one she came with. I ordered a kit and glued a conversion panel onto a 10 gallon aquarium to create an arboreal habitat. She was very fast and skittish, but everything went smoothly. She's now settling in. I can't stop looking at her. Such a magnificent animal. 4354628748056273119.jpg -5436803509516494705.jpg

This is the first time I've been able to get a decent photo of her. She's very quick and skittish, retreating at the slightest disturbance. Meet Tigerlily, P. vittata. True to their common name, she's almost ghostly looking. IMG_20220520_213445201~2.jpg

Speaking of Pokies, Mowgli (1.0 P. ornata) came out tonight to say hello. He's growing quickly and every time I see him I'm in awe. He's so colorful and leggy! He's a very handsome boy. IMG_20220520_225813192~2.jpg

Esmeralda, T. pruriens. About an 1-1.25in in size. Already showing some stunning green coloration. So far I'm really impressed by this species. I used a microscope and molt sexed her as female. IMG_20220525_212134802_HDR.jpg
