Spider shelf ideas

My collection is really growing and I was thinking of a spider shelf to display all my arachnids and keep them in one area. Has anyone built or modified one to fit your spider needs?
I have 8 jumpers that sit on a narrow window sill and I have to move them every day for an hour or two because there is too much direct sunlight. So I am wanting to get some light strips or some type of set up to make that easier.
As for the tarantulas, I have 1 arboreal sp. 2 dwarf sp. (so they wouldnt need much shelf depth) but also 1 terrestrial sp. that will eventually down the line need that shelf depth.
Anyone have a shelf or mods that have worked for this? Thank you so much!!

No matter what you get just make sure you have room to grow. Went through this same exercise about 6 months ago and already scrambling to get an additional shelf in place. Thought I'd have plenty of space after I put everything together, but between rehousing to bigger enclosures, ant colony expansions, picking up a couple genics...well you get the idea

this is where I keep majority of my tarantulas. I designed a desk and my papa is really good at woodworking. It took him about a year but he made this for me out of cherry wood.

I’m not sure where the low powered ones are from however the other comes from Amazon. It’s an older model that has only one brightness level so I had to cover some of it in black duct tape. However nowadays they have multiple brightness settings.

I went for a more utilitarian approach, but I find that it doesn't detract at all from how things look. Sturdy with lots of room, plus you can adjust the height of the shelves to make sure everything fits correctly, which is nice. Just a basic shelving unit from Home Depot in the middle. I like it the best out of all of them because it's very stable and also adjustable if I ever wanted to move my arboreal enclosures around.

Here's a picture of my setup from about 2 months ago. The amount of thought I've put into not only the current design, but the ultimate end goal and the steps to get there is, well, staggering.

When getting shelving units, IMHO it's best to buy the shelfing units that can support the most weight (each of mine is 1000 pounds per shelf). Taking this step from the jump gives you a bit of future proofing should your collection expand, go a different route, or you just need to use a heavy duty shelf in the garage.

@spideyspinneret78 Where did you get your gigantic acrylic enclosure on the bottom right in the middle shelf? Looks like its for a Theraphosa or something, but that looks sick, and HUGE lol.

Good looking out, but they're not Amazon basics lol. They're actually rated to 1000 pounds a shelf (and the price reflects it ).

Good guess! It's for an AF T. stirmi. I got it from Primal Cages. Works really well.
