Spider ID

Can someone ID this spider? Male wolf spider? Seems awfully leggy though and produces silk which I heard wolf spiders didn't really do. I live in Arizona.

That lovely creature appears to be a Huntsman spider, Olios giganteus.

In Arizona though? I thought they were only found in Australia and more tropical regions :-/

No, there are Huntsman spiders all over the world - not only in Australia but also in Africa, Asia, parts of Southern Europe (the Mediterranean region), and North and South America. It's a huge family with over a thousand different species.

Olios giganteus can be found throughout the south-western US and parts of Mexico.
