Ok, i don't want to ruin the fun, but in 2036, there is an astroid that is suppose to be HUGE coming toward planet Earth and it is going to destroy us all. So if these scientists are going make some glow in the dark stuff for us, then they better hurry.
BTW, the astroid is call Apophis, meaning the destroyer. look it up on youtube.
ok, lets get back to talking about how nice the future going to be.
CHEERS! :D

Unfortunately, the mammals with green fluorescent protein (GFP) or other color versions (red, cyan, etc. ) are hard to impossible to see with the naked eye in normal light. Even with the proper wavelength of light you often need to wear goggles that block out all but the emitted wavelength. In more see-through animals the effect is more dramatic. Someone put RFP in Danio rerio (zebrafish) and you can buy them as "glowfish". It would probably not work well in spiders because the protein needs to be in solution to fluoresce, and it needs to be constantly produced since it breaks down over time so it would not be seen in the exoskeleton.
Now if you made animals transgenic for luciferase and the genes for biosynthesis of luciferin, you would have animals that actually glowed in the dark instead of just fluoresced. But again, that would only be in living cells so the exoskeleton would block a lot of the light, but slings would probably look cool.

And this has what to do with transgenic goats?
sorry, i was just looking at the astroid movie and then i was reading about the spider goat thing right afterward, and i guess it doesn't mix.
but at the same time, i was wondering if anyone else know about the astroid that i just found out today, so i was poking some buttons (in this case keyboards) and see if anyone know about it.
sorry
sorry
let's disregard it and focus back to the genetic engerneer stuff:(.
