thats a NICE looking latro. you sellin any of the sacs?
She hasnt produced sacs.

Right now all my efforts are focused on learning how to keep a few species happy, healthy and horny ...however, I may need to sell/trade some stock in the future. But, as for now, overall..I'm trying to stay out of the spider biz. ;)

I think selling sacs of these spiders,or even allowing them to produce sacs is crazy!

Latrodectus pics tread

What species is this one, with the red markings like a widow?
Hello@tegenaria,

This is a Latrodectus picture tread :?
This means all(most) spiders you see in this tread are widow's
since widows are Latrodectus spec. ;-)

Letting them produce eggsacs is only crazy if you
arent adult enough (in the head).
If you do it wright, it is no problem.
It is very interesting and beautifull to see...
And it "gives" the spider a life since that is what they are
born for... to reproduce.

I take every eggsac out of the enclosure after 20 days.
Than I put them in plastic containers where they hatch
(after 10 days). Of course the holes in these boxes are
so small that no sling can escape.

The lid stays closed for 1 month. Than there will be about 10 to 15 fat healthy slings left (canibalism) wich are big enough to put in seperate little containers.

This doesnt seem so crazy afterall, does it?

Duh me i didnt read the thread header, just clicked on the link from my email!

And regarding Latros, I saw a show hosted by Phil de Vries where a baby got bit by one and nearly died, but I guess if you dont have kids or small dogs/cats etc then go for it.
