yes and yes lol actually i call where i live east Texas but i got this one near college station

the only one i have ever collected was in austin..it was pretty big, actually.
the thing is those guys are super tough..their elytra are nearly impossible to penetrate.
very cool beetles, they are!:clap:

thus the moniker ironclad lol I have heard they can live over a year glued to a push pin on a board lol

oh man..sounds like a hoot!Lol.
I am not patient enough to try that theory out..but will say that when i tried to mount the one i caught many years ago, i had to use a custom made drill bit to mount them.

I can't seem to find much of anything in my neck of the woods, be it herp or invert.
