Does anyone know where I can get 2 or 3 gallon clear plastic jars with screw on lids? Are these even made? I've searched online to no avail, was hoping someone here could help.

Thanks.

Not sure about 2 or 3 gallon, but you can get 1 gallon at walmart. I use these for alot of my smaller arboreals.

Yeah, I use those 1 gallon jars from walmart. Like you said they are great for smaller arboreals, I want the larger sizes for my bigger girls.

The walmart here had a bunch of jars of animal cookies in the shape of teddy bears just recently that I would bet are at least two gallons. They are making great enclosures for juvie arboreals here. They also get quite the laugh out of folks when they see the spider in the cute bear. A bunch of places had two and three gallon size jars of popcorn and junk for the holidays as well that I am enjoying.

Thanks! I'll check them out. That has to be hilarious seeing an adult rufilata looking through a teddy bear face. Nice contrast! HaHa!

It's pretty fun and they are actually really nice clear plastic. The biggest issue that I've had was getting the stickers off, but Goo Gone solved that for me.

Washing off Goo Gone is the pits too, but it's the best option I've found so far. Just make sure that anything you put on there in very thoroughly washed and dried and given time to air in case of remaining fumes.

Yeah that stuff is pretty noxious! Did you try rubbing alcohol?

Yeah and with a scouring pad to boot. I got off about a tenth of the thing in two hours. It was horrible. The Goo Gone took about fifteen minutes, including scrubbing down that entire container.

Our Walmart has these big pretzel containers that are at least 2 gallons. I'm about to turn one into a home for my juvie OBT and it may actually be big enough to serve as her permanent home. An added bonus is that the pretzels are really tasty!

Guys, try using a hair-dryer on the sticker first. Use warm and don't hold it to close, because if the plastic is thin it will warp. BUT the heat from the blowdryer warms the glue and makes it easier to peel off. I've had lots of success with this for various things. Use it on books that have price stickers on them too.

I think the Utz Cheeseballs come in an even larger container, but I don't remember if it's a screw top or not.

Downside: You'll have to officially rename your tarantula "Cheeseball"
Really wanna know why that cheeseballs container is sitting on the beach like that.... It's like an almost artistic, romantic photo and yet...cheese balls.

Nothing quite as romantic as knowing that once high tide rolls back in, those cheese balls are going right out to sea.
