My Blondi is in pre molt and shes starting to turn brown and black on her rump which i've heard is the new hair starting to surface. How long do they usually take to molt after they start to darken? I know they probably differ from spider to spider but im just wondering how long I have to look at her like this? Thanks, Trey

Hey Trey. Is your Blondi an adult or a juvi? Adults "can" be in this stage for at least month or better before they actually molt. Juvis tend to go through the process quicker. Of course it differs from individual to another. Just kick back and relax. Keep water for it at all times! Enjoy! Rich

Thanks alot. She's probably about 6-7 in. range so def not a juvi. She hasn't been in her hide in about 3 weeks so I don't understand her thinking. She's just kinda chillin in the open which I wouldn't think a spider would do going into a molt? Any insight? Thanks, Trey
