Today I looked into my genic's tank, and I found small snail just snailing about in its own snaily business.

I thought about leaving the little guy in there but I've read that snails are usually carriers of disease and I just want to know if this little guy could harm my T.

I've got plants inside my T's tank and I think he'll be good for eating some of the dead leaves, and probably some of the roach remains that I'll miss cleaning in there.

Anyone else here who had to deal with snails in their tanks? :o_O:

I have not dealt with snails in tank before, but i figure you dont want those slime trails all over your tank. as far as disease the only ones I know about snails getting are usually the parasite that get inside them so if they it does have them, then when the snail dies it could go to your T next. not trying to freak you out or anything, just letting you know. if you want cleaning crews to clean up remains and what not. I guess the people usually use isopods in their tanks. so IMO I would take it out, because they have to many unknown variable to deal with them.

I would take it out, not because i know its bad for your T but because i 'don't' know, if you know what i mean lol But if you do some research you may find it's beneficial, i really don't know ae!

Just pick it up and put it outside.

Or keep it as pet and feed it lettuce.
