My pinktoe (A. avicularia) is starting to get really sluggish. I have no idea how old she is, so it may just be age, but I am wondering if she might also become slow for other reasons? Like if the humidity is too high, or the temp is wrong, or she's not mentally happy?
I gave her a piece of pvc pipe, and she's webbed it just a little, but doesn't spend any time in it. When I try to handle her, she delicately touches my hand with one toe and then decides to stay where she is (even if I prod her several times).

Any help is appreciated,
Tamara.

from one arachno to another :D

Hey,
It could very well be that your spider is about to molt, so if it is not eating that is probably the cause of the sluggish behaviour. That would be my first thought.
