My Avicularia versicolor slings are feeding very well. After starting on fruit flies, they are now eating pinhead crickets. I took a poll asking people the minimum number of pinheads I should feed them to keep them alive. Answers varied from they don't have to eat every week to feeding them as much as they would eat per day.

I have to tell you, they will eat over a dozen pinheads per day each... if you supply the prey the slings will slay.

Now, it really has become a question of moderation. If an arboreal sling gets too fat in the abdomen, will it be suseptable to greater injury like an adult?

If you have experience feeding versicolor slings, what was your feeding schedule like? How often did you feed your slings?????

I feed 'em slings 'til they won't eat. And as long as you have a soft substrate, don't worry about your a.versi sling falling. Most probably it'd never do anyway!
