While at the pet store the other day, I asked what I should feed my new T. They gave the same old crick, advice, but also strongly suggested that I feed it silk worms. Where silk worm recomended since they are really good for my T or because they are the MOST expensive thing on the menu ?

Do you feed Silk worms ?

Are they good for my T ?

I think they're healthy for just about anything, but like you said, also expensive and a pain to feed/raise.

They'd also have absolutely zero chance of injuring a small spiderling or a molting T, so they do have that going for them.

Hi!
I fed my tarantulas once with silkworms and they loved them. I don't think they're any danger. From my perspective they're just that: very expensive, occasional treats.;)

I'll just add that you should never get silkworms and *wax*worms confused. Wax worms are apparently delicious, but also almost pure fat. Definitely not a good diet. :)
