Should I get a heat pad for red runners?

So I received my shipment of blatta lateralis but my house is kind of chilly at around 70 degrees to the upper 60s and I've heard that they need temps in the 80s to breed successfully.

So should I get them a heat pad or just leave them as is?

Only if you plan on them breeding. Also are they legal to have in Arizona since you are in a Southern state? I don't know myself.

Here's a good article:

They're only illegal in Florida from what I've heard but I'm sure they'll become illegal eventually since they're native to Turkish desert s.

Florida I know about but other states like California I have no clue.

Almost everything invasive seems illegal in Florida, for good reason.

Earlier this week I was watching something about a snake ranch in some part of Florida. It got destroyed by one of the past hurricanes and alot of snakes escaped.

Some of those snakes like 20+ were King Cobras among the others now roaming free and were never recaptured as of yet.

You’ll definitely need a heat pad for breeding, but if you’re just keeping them to feed off they’ll still eat and survive fine at those temps.

If your room temps are lower than the mid 70's and you're planning on breeding them then you'll need one
