Shelf protection against cats

Don't get a cat
If you get a cat, sell the tarantulas, at least you will get some return on them.

If you think you can have both, the T room has to be off limits to the cat

if you ignore all of this, no amount of gear will stop a cat from killing some

Cats should not be allowed outdoors. They have devastated the wildlife.

You can also train them not to jump on the spider shelf.
with a squirt bottle :cool:

saw your later post. Confirmed. Cats allowed on kitchen counters is a home where I will never eat

I have mine on a tall bookshelf in my lounge room, my cats get anywhere and everywhere! I would look into breeds some are a lot more adventurous then others and they can always jump a lot higher then you think they can, you will just have to keep an eye on the situation and see how it goes. If it becomes an issue I would move the t’s to a different room or get a bigger shelving unit and fill it with stuff so the cat can’t use the shelves to climb
