Adult female Grammostola pulchripes suddenly laid down a thick sheet of silk after refusing roaches for a few months.
I thought maybe she was hungry and wanted help catching something to eat. So I gently put a debilitated king mealworm near her.
Not only did she refuse that, she immediately tore up her entire sheet of silk and rolled it into a ball.
Then I noticed one of her fangs was missing (or greatly shortened), and realized she could have been getting ready to molt, and I just ruined all that.
If she's having trouble eating roaches, I thought maybe she could take a small hornworm to replenish and repair.
What should I do?
