My cricket bin is due for a deep cleaning. Only problem is that I have many dermestid larvae and beetles in there. What is the easiest way of separating them from all the frass and carcasses?
Best thing i have found when seperating something like that is to just use a deli cup. Take and scoop up some of it, then pour it onto an old plate, or something similar. Then take a paintbrush and slowly sift through it and remove all the larvae and beetles. Once you get that cupfull looked through, pitch the excess, and grab another cupfull. It takes forever, but the only way to make sure you arent pitching beetles and larvae.
