This is the first time I've ever come across it. Yesterday I received my E. murinus that was in resealable plastic bag which then was placed in plastic container with some wet paper etc.
Personally, I really felt bad for my new T and would like to ask about opinions?

I'm attaching one of pics saw on his wechat to show you what I meant.

Who ever did that should really go back to learning the basics of T.'s. Poor fella, I hope it isn't dead.:(

Friend just told me that apparently it's pretty normal in China... I'm feeling super bad for them.
And about the T, it just molted (yeah, one day after arriving) and I'm about to upload 2 pics of it. Seems to be super fine.

Not trying to be racist or offensive. But China has poor regulations regarding there market, so i'm not to surprised. It's good to hear that it came in fine, but shipping in those standards is beyond poor. If the way they ship is that poor, I wonder what the care for T.'s is like over there. o_O

The most important thing when sending a tarantula is that itbis packed as snugly as possible. The more tight the better. There should be no room for it to bounce around in the container. If the sealable bag was put in something else and the spider was snug and it had lots of soft packings included it is better than packing it in a too large container i guess? But it is far from good! I always send tarantulas in vials with room for just the spider and papertowels!

I've seen many pictures of bad enclosures etc, I'd rather say so many people can't be ignorant at the same time so maybe the information isn't just there?

As I said - bag was inside a smaller 3x3x2 inch plastic box with some wet paper towel. and then it was inside of a styrofoam box also with paper. If it werent for that plastic bag and heavy premolt of the T, I wouldn't have said anything.

Only drawback i see from it is that it is soft and spider can easily bite through it, otherwise it is good, aslong it is tightly packed

Edit: Sorry. It helps to read the entire post LOL

I don't see the purpose of the bag if the T was also in a plastic container... but I guess it doesn't do any harm, either?

If it's still packed snug, why does it matter? Looks like the plastic bag is full of holes, right? Seems like it's different than what we do, but I can see why you would pack this way.

Well, I just wasn't sure of the general consensus on the matter and wanted to make sure it's not really that harmful.

Pretty sad you have to clarify this
Well... As an Asian myself, I still had to say it (odd isn't it?). Because nowadays, a lot people tend to mistaken or get offended quite easily in our modern times.
