I cant find any good images of these species online.

A. austris hector is thus far my favourite (black tail and Claws?? Awesome!) .

A mauiritanicus and P. transvaalicus are freakin tanks! those tails are amazing.

It would seem to me that people are choosing favourites based on the amount of contrast through out the body. I personally love the stripes of C vittatus.

Some of these I have never seen images before, so this is very helpful!

The question makes me wonder how to answer. I think the most popular is Pandinus imperator, maybe not what most people are interested in but in a way, they are the iconic scorpion because they are so available, big, and look good to most people. Unfortunately, they are so available that getting one is about as exciting as going to McDonalds for a lot of people, ..hmm, "popular" or "common"... Personally, I think the view has a lot to do with how available emps are. It's kind of like having a nickel coin or a gold coin offered to somebody, they will go for the gold coin but each is still a piece of metal, they just go for it because it's more valuable, it's valuable because it's more rare. Emps would be very sought after if they were rare. Emps will always be one of my favs though. Hard to pick three most desired to me. I like transvaalicus because they aren't as easily spooked as many other species and rarely pass up a meal unless they are sick, old or as fat as a grape. I'm not a fan of the smaller scorps but I respect people liking the smaller ones and understand it, just not my thing so much. I like the medium to large scorps mostly. I do like H. arizonensis, so there is three.
