The point of my previous post is to appreciate the variety of life in this world. How can you "prefer" one animal over another? Every species is adapted to it's environment and more so to it's niche in that environment.

It's like saying "I prefer chimps over humans over orangutans."

Scorpions are what they are. Tarantulas are what they are. It is not a contest.
Yes its personal preference and people can like one more than the other if they choose. We all know animals are what they are, and we like them for what they are. And people like different things about differnet animals.

Who are YOU? Who do you think YOU ARE??!! Who are YOU to pass judgment on
one spectacular living creature over another.

In their eyes, YOU are just another monkey.
Well, you don't see many scorpions or tarantulas keeping monkeys as pets. We buy and sell them everyday, and assign prices to them according to "worth", and I assume you endorse this system of judgement, unless you don't own any scorpions or t's in which case you don't belong on this site anyway. I think arachnids in general are very cool, but come on, they don't even have vertebral columns, much less higher brain function; and after this absurd outburst, I'd venture to say the same for you. Get off your soapbox and leave the guy alone, because frankly I think everyone will agree with me when I say your opinion is garbage.

and chimps are definitely much better than orangutans, far more interesting social structure.

T's because they come in a wider array of colors, personalities, environments, etc.

I keep both, but I prefer scorpions.

Reasons:
-a have a lot of species in my collection
-cheaper
-built tough
-you see the stinger in action
-they dont have urticating hairs
-they can't climb glass and escape

etc . . .etc . . .

I aslo love Ts but only those with striking colors or patterns. I don't enjoy big brown Ts like T. blondi.

Anyway, I'd be very interested to see an arachnid that has any earthly f***ing idea what a monkey is, or that can distinguish one by sight, for that matter, you moron.

i prefer ts because

1. i really like the way they move - way more sophisticated than any scorp ;)
2. i like to see my pets. so i don't have any obligate burrowers and i don't keep scorps. properly kept scorps just hide too much...
3. optics: ok, those tails and pincers are cool. but i don't like scorp eyes - they look a bit as if decapitated, whereas ts do not. i guess it's the chelicera.

I'm with you, I favor T's for many reasons

OMG, I D T! don't H8 me 7R@s! (ROFL) BTW I don't keep S's so mayb I don't appreciate them as appropriately as I should. I'm thinking about getting some emperors though because of the whole blacklight thing, which IMHO is the coolest thing about scorps.

Wait wasn't there a female scientist who perferred chimps over people? And lived with them and weird crap like that?

Can this also be related to some ants like my flavor others just never make it up the side of my flip-flops?

anyway, I can't really decided which i like better
I mean seriously, The way scorps are designed is f'in awesome looking
but on the other hand Ts are so cuddly and colorful(no i don't cuddle with them)...hmmm

The same way people can prefer chunky peanut butter over smooth. One can appreciate the variety of peanut butter available to the average consumer at a grocery store, yet still develop a soft spot for one type. It's through the magic of the opinion.
