scorpion eggs? fact or fiction?

i have a friend who told me some scorpions lay eggs rather than give live birth, and i was wondering if this is true.. anyone know anything about it?

They will lay undeveloped eggs, though these will not become live scorplings and are generally eaten by the mother. So sort of fact.
