So I'm curious if any other scorpion keeper has ever seen there scorpion hold there tail straight out and down and drag it through the substrate.? I have two that do this.. Both both being different species. Any knowledge on this would be awesome 🙂

I am certain many experienced keepers will chime in.

If I were one of a scorpion, I would do the same. It gets so tired to hold it up there all the time.

They are just relaxed when no threats are sensed they will lower their tails when moving around.

Is tail wagging normal? Like twitchy left to right movements

I've seen some of my scorpions do this too...

there - their ;)
Just my hypothesis after studying everything... The scorpions I have that display this behavior are inhabitants of dry and humid areas of the world.. Seems maybe I may have too much humidity happening I think

Leiurus quinquestriatus and parabuthus villosus ornje. PVO I only received a week ago or so. My deathstalker I have kept for over a year now. I believe it to be adult and possibly female..?
As far as the PVO I haven't tried to gender identify it yet. I bought it as a 4I

Species? And can you post pics of this behavior?
As far as pictures.. This behavior I've witnessed on what you might call a whim. The PVO did this immediately once it got into it's surroundings, which took me back. I thought there there was something wrong with it lol
