Hi, i'm getting Parabuthus liosoma, and P. transvaalicus in a few days. I can't find anything on the internet about them at all, like what humidity ect. I found out that P. transvaalicus hide under things, and don't burrow. I would really like to know humidity and any other quirks associated with these two scorp species,
Thanks,
Steve

I believe these guys are from South Africa. I keep both species on packed sand with a few rock hides. I would provide four or five inches of sand so they can burrow. The need low humidity and warm temps. My containers reach about 90 degrees during the day and about 75 degrees at night. I recommend offering a shallow water dish. These scorpions, and a few others in Parabuthus genus, may posses the ability to spray venom…reportedly up to three feet. Keep this in mind when you are working with them. Remember, the sting of these guys pack quite a punch. Enjoy your new scorpions; these guys are a lot of fun.
