hello

recently I recived a large s. subspinipes de haani, that is about 20cm(8 inches)
But how many years does it take before they reach this size, I am afraid that it is very old, since it is so big:(

ok, thanks..but i thought it would take more like 4-5 years, but that is wrong then:?
i don't think so. if it's 4~5 years old, then it's much bigger than 20cm. around 25cm or over, i guess.

i have a subspinipes "haiti giant." i bought this guy when she was a 2.5cm baby(june 20, 2006). and now she's a 13cm lady. maybe next year she would be over 20cms!

I second this. Some are faster growers though.

My De Haani experience says that a pede 20cm long might be over 2 years. Three perhaps? It all depends so much on the temperature it was raised in, and the amount of food presented.
