Hi there! I was wondering how to go about catching a group of spiderlings on the loose?

I get a lot of wild dolomedes that pass through my house, and I didn't find this egg sac until after the babes started trying to balloon away on the warm air from my computer. I want to let them outdoors but they look so fragile, and I'm afraid I might break them if I use my usual spider-catching method of putting a cup over them and slipping a paper underneath. What's a good technique for catching and releasing spiderlings? Any advice is of huge help! :)

No idea if that'll be helpful or not, but I thought I'd post it anyway. He brings up a method of picking up and moving slings, but I don't really know if it'll be relevant for handling Dolomedes or not. :/ Anyway, I hope it helps some!

I never would've thought of that! It's just what I need, thank you.

Update: It's working very well! 5 have been moved outside so far, still whole and frisky.

I'm glad! I haven't tried it myself--so it's good to know it works! :) Good luck with the rest!
