Hello All!
If anyone has any experience with running crab spiders, I could most definitely use some advice. I have a habitat for it since I've been raising my beloved rescue bold jumper's slings before it was her time to go😢.

The running crab spider has yet to recieve an actual name because I honestly thought this would be a temporary thing.
However, Crabby or AKA MR. CRABBY has had access to leave (multiple times), but never does.
I'd be most appreciative (as well as Mr. Crabby) for any information such as, appropriate sized and well liked feeders, ideal conditions, best type of enclosure (I think it may be a juvenile), and anything else that would be pertinent to know.
I have attached pictures from day one till today (this evening 4/2/2025).
Thank You for taking the time to read this long post.

**Update** 4/4/2025
Mr.Crab Spider was starting to get thin and I was getting very worried (and annoyingly nagging how he needs to eat), so my BF came up with a great plan! We have a calapsable butterfly netted cage we bought when Harriet's first clutch slings were about to emerge. He took that and slowly swept it across a portion of our back yard and it was like hitting the mini feeder jackpot! Mr.Crabby ended up eating 3 clover mites, and a little tiny all black insects that jumped all over the place (it was a *itch getting that thing out of the net and into the enclosure), but Mr. Jimmie Cricket's 6th or 7th generation grandbaby got ate!
When I woke up this morning, SURPRISE! Mr.Crabby molted! His legs are so much longer and have tiny little spikies on them as before they did not.
Hey also has a cool new move that he is learning to perfect with his longer legs.
Since he is still with us, we decided it's time to give him a proper name. He is now known as Hermes.
I've attached the pictures that I took of him today.

A little late but arboreal lots of twigs ect for him to run round on and fast moving pray like micro crix or fruit flys, he will be used to your temps in the room so no extra heating ect n I would try offering a drop of water once in a while just incase although he should get enough from the pray I still like to offer my true spoods the option. And good airflow he is used to the flow of your home so really you want to keep it similar, I wouldn't mess with humidity ect to much.
I hope this helps and any more questions just ask 😊.
