my rosie, whom i've had for about a month, just walled herself up in a little cave. she's always been docile and personable (well, as much a spider could be). always out and able to be handled.

is this just kooky behavior or is it signifigant?

Sounds like a molt to me, just leave her alone for a while and see what happens.

No need to get nervous more than likely an impending molt is near no worries very normal . My advice any crickets in the enclosure take out or whatever your feeding fill the water dish and let her be for a few days. Sure she will turn up when she is ready

okay, she tore it all down and is now balling it up. is she making an egg sac?

here is a pic. she is still balling it up and i can tell she is about half the size she was before she started. i know most rosea are wc, so i guess she might've been gravid when i bought her.

Can juvie females produce viable eggs?
