my rosie, whom i've had for about a month, just walled herself up in a little cave. she's always been docile and personable (well, as much a spider could be). always out and able to be handled.

is this just kooky behavior or is it signifigant?

Sounds like a molt to me, just leave her alone for a while and see what happens.

No need to get nervous more than likely an impending molt is near no worries very normal . My advice any crickets in the enclosure take out or whatever your feeding fill the water dish and let her be for a few days. Sure she will turn up when she is ready:)

here is a pic. she is still balling it up and i can tell she is about half the size she was before she started. i know most rosea are wc, so i guess she might've been gravid when i bought her.

That def looks like a freebie eggsac but isnt that awfully small for a mature female?

Can juvie females produce viable eggs?
