Rosea Color Size?

When do rosea get those pink hairs?

A LPS has a female (or at least to me it looked 98% female because it was very lippy) "Chilean rose hair" that actually looks like a porteri to me but its only 3".

Is this big enough to see that pink or is it actually a porteri?

It was a pretty plain ole brown color all around. Do their carapaces turn pink by 3"? It was pretty scrunched up so it was hard to tell but I'd like to have a better idea before I visit again.

Carapace color varies by local both in rosea and porteri, As far as when it shows up I'm not sure. In the picture above the pink is starting to show a little around the eyes and looks like more depending on how the light hits it.
Carapace color in adults can be bright pink, copper, and a deep metallic brown/purple.
