Rose hair tarantula care cages

i need to know what is recommended for a rose hair tarantula cage size wise. when i got her she only had a 1/4 gallon deli cup container i have put her into 1 and 1/2 gallon tank is that enough i think it is but please help i don't want to kill her she is a adult female i would think that it would be ok considering what she was living in. but if she does need a bigger cage i can get one. thanks for all your help

i have my 4inch rose in a 20 gallon and she has plenty of space, i also have a 4inch cobalt blue in a 10 gallon, in my opinion I'd say at least 5 gallons for an adult T.

A 1 1/2 gallon enclosure for a rose hair is pretty small. Especially seeing as how they like to wander. Don't take the pet store's word on it being a female. I would try and confirm that for yourself. But if it's an adult it's probably 5 inches give or take a little. So in that case, the cheapest, best value would be a 10g tank from Walmart. I believe they go for like 12.95.

I don't know if it matters in regard to any tank modifications you might be interested in doing, but for what it's worth, their tanks have tempered glass.

Rose hairs tend to like to wander around. I don't ever see mine in the same place when I go downstairs to check out my T's, regardless of the fact that I provided her a hide.

5 gallon is plenty for most adults. i use 10 gallon for my sub adult L parahybanas and my big MM P cancerides. i would use a 20 for an adult Lasiodora or a T blondi but bigger than that is probably more an exercise of owner indulgence rather than actually benefiting the spider.

A 5 gallon tank would do it. A flat faunarium medium or large should also work.
