I have some B. dubia and have experienced higher mortality than I expected.

I'm keeping them under a heat lamp currently with a normal lightbulb.

1.) Are the lights stressing them out?

2.) Will a red bulb help?

My discoids are doing fine in the same tank. They're reproducing faster than I expected, but I'm still a little confused as to why my dubia aren't reproducing.

I keep my dubia in a dark tank with a UTH on the bottom and they breed like heck, much faster then my Discoids which are in the same kin of set up. So i would say use a UTH or heat tape if you can. If not maybe try a red bulb.

do you mean you keep your discoides and dubia in literally the same tank?
